Voice One monophonic vocal part represented by a MIDI channel.
Cast The selected singer model assigned to a voice.
Note A written pitch event with a start, duration, lyric slot, and optional expression.
Lyric slot The text ownership position associated with a note.
Slur A relationship in which one syllable continues across separate notes.
Articulation An authored delivery instruction such as breath, accent, or staccato.

Phoneme A speech-sound category used to represent pronunciation.
Phone One occurrence of a phoneme in the planned vocal timeline.
Phoneme plan The ordered pronunciation produced from lyrics, notes, slurs, and overrides.
Phone override A user-supplied phone sequence that replaces automatic pronunciation for its material.
Phone region The displayed time interval occupied by a phone or an expanded phone segment.

Timing strip The phone timeline shown beneath the piano roll in Timing mode.
Timing boundary The division between adjacent phone regions.
Focused node The timing boundary currently selected for editing.
Timing Nudge A stored offset that moves a boundary from its predicted position.

Score pitch The stepped pitch target defined by the written notes.
Pitch line The continuous sung pitch contour from the latest completed bake.
Pitch expression Authored note-level pitch offsets and optional note vibrato.
Processor layer A configurable package that modifies a defined part of the vocal result.
Bake The operation that produces current render results from the score and settings.
Stem A rendered mono audio file for one voice, intended for later mixing.
